| | Bettina - I have been committed to health and fitness all my life. I’ve given most things a go; starting with judo, equestrian events, ballet, water skiing, gym workouts and of course aerobics and all its variations. But nothing has inspired me and changed my life as significantly as yoga.
Although I’d been a keen Bikram practitioner since 2002, shortly after the Yoga Tree introduced the Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa in 2003 I was hooked and decided to do his teacher training in Mexico in 2004. In my endeavor to continue to grow and develop both as a practitioner and a teacher of yoga, I have furthered my studies with Nicky Knoff, one of Australia’s most respected yoga teacher trainers, completing the foundation level training in August 2006.
I have also enriched my experience through workshops with Donna Farhi, Wade Morissette, Andrew Mournehis, Nicole Walsh and Phil Goodwin, Sarah Powers, Les Leventhal, Sean Corn, Shiva Rea and Sharon Gannon.
My passion is about yoga for therapy, empowering the individual through fluid movement, body alignment and strength. I‘m available for personal private classes. |

| | | Amanda's initial introduction to yoga was through a lunchtime workplace class which she was undertaking to get in a "little exercise" during work. However she soon noticed the incredible benefits of stress management that a regular yoga practice could bring in a busy work environment. She then undertook classes on an ad hoc basis, searching for a style that suited her best, until 2005 when she discovered the transformational power of the Baptiste Power Vinyasa. Amanda has been passionate about health and fitness for all of her life so teaching people about health, fitness and mental stillness is a natural fit. Her own yoga practice and understanding of working in a corporate setting, provides Amanda with empowering tools with which to assist others to transform their own lives.

| | | Ritu was exposed to yoga from early childhood. She has early memories of her grandfather teaching her various breathing exercises on the roof of her family’s home in Calcutta, India. She was drawn to Bikram yoga in particular @ an extremely challenging time in her life. With 2 prolapsed discs and one fractured disc in her cervical spine, she practiced every day determined to heal. Within 3 months, medication was no longer necessary. The movement in her neck went from 25% to 100%. Ever since her Bikram journey began, nearly a decade ago she’s always believed in the healing benefits of the practice. ‘Not only do I believe in the healing benefits, the strength and focus the practice gives me is a priceless gift. The strength and determination it takes to get through 90 minutes confirms I can do anything in life.’ Last year she decided it was time to share her passion for Bikram yoga with others. Having completed teacher training in San Diego 2010 and an advanced seminar with Bikram in Malta in 2011 she is dedicated to teaching yoga and being taught. |
| | | Maria has been practicing yoga since she was 16 and started practicing Bikram Yoga in 2008. "From very early on in my practice I thought about teaching Bikram Yoga but it took me three years to build the courage and faith in myself that I could teach and share this yoga with others. I love this style of yoga, I love the sequence and I know that this yoga can really open you up and change you physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally." Maria graduated in Fall 2011, Los Angeles and is dedicated to teaching the Bikram sequence and helping others find their balance, determination and inner strength. |
| | | Lucy - I first discovered yoga – or maybe it discovered me – in 2002, when I was 18 years old studying Fashion Buying for Retail at Manchester Metropolitan University where I took it up as a hobby for recreational purposes. The magic of yoga quickly took effect, and I became a regular in class and a keen student of the yoga tradition. Back in London in August 2009, I began teaching regular classes whilst working as a PR for a ladies clothing brand. I now teach yoga as my full time job in Hampton, the city centre, Elsternwick, Armadale, Brighton and Windsor, including regular public classes, corporate groups and private individuals. My yoga teaching is open-minded and reflects the styles which I have studied over the years. I try to keep classes imaginatively and creatively sequenced, with an eye on their physical as well as energetic effects. Originally from London, England (which explains why I don’t understand Aussie Rules and think Melbourne has great weather), I have lived in Melbourne since 2010 and now live in Windsor which I love. |
| | | Collin - began practicing yoga in 2002 in New York at Laughing Lotus. She fell in love with the practice and decided to delve deeper getting her certification in 2005. She began teaching for several different studios in Southern California, eventually making her way to Yogaworks. At Yogaworks, she did workshops with some of yoga's most sought after teachers, Sean Corne, Baron Baptiste, Pattabhi Jois, and Shiva Rea. She teaches a dynamic class designed to create strength, stamina and flexibility. She also worked with Balboa Pilates, helping athletes, elderly and injured students with yoga therapy. Collin has taught all over the world and now calls Australia home. “We are not going to change the whole world, but we can change ourselves and feel free as birds. We can be serene even in the midst of calamities and, by our serenity, make others more tranquil. Serenity is contagious. If we smile at someone, he or she will smile back. And a smile costs nothing. We should plague everyone with joy. If we are to die in a minute, why not die happily, laughing?” ― Swami Satchidananda, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. |
| | | Desi started practising Bikram Yoga in 2004, at the age of 16. She went from practising once a week...to twice...to three times...to eventually arranging her whole life around when she could practise. Teacher training seemed like the obvious next step. At 19, Desi packed her belongings and travelled to LA to do Bikram's Teacher Training. She was the youngest in her training, and since graduation has been teaching full time. She started the yoga in Adelaide, and taught there for 4 years before making Melbourne her new home in 2010. She has been back to visit training twice, has completed Bikram's Advanced Seminar 3 times and has competed in two yoga championships. "I feel like this series is a gift that keeps on giving. Even after 9 years of practise, I'm still challenged, I still wake up sore some days and I can still be shaken after class. And just when I think I've had enough, and I might be ready to move on...I have another breakthough that brings me back to the mat to start all over again." |
| | | Natalie - I took my first Bikram Yoga class back in the end of 2009 just before I moved to Melbourne from Perth. Straight away I felt the positive effects and knew that I wanted to continue with the practice and become a teacher so I could share it with others. I went to teacher training in April 2011 in LA and it is by far the best life experience I've had. Why Bikram Yoga? I love the heat. It's great way to cleanse the body, detoxify and is a great whole body work out- inside out, from bones to skin! Though it's the same 26 postures every time, I always find it a challenge. Practicing the yoga has taught me more patience, determination, self control and is a big stress reliever |
