1 WEEK WITH LES

A Workshop not to be missed!

Wednesday April 14th - Art of Vinyasa Intensive - Any vinyasa practice can be informative, fun, and deeply satisfying. In these classes we will have the opportunity to spend time on all aspects of the practice; Mantra, Mudra, Pranayama, Asana including core strengthening inversions, and Savasana. We will dive into each family of poses; Standing poses, Twists, Backbends, Forward Folds, Hip Openers and Arm Balances.  All classes are taught for all levels so that all can enjoy a safe and fun practice.

Thursday April 15th - Art of Backbends - Backbends are some of yoga's most exhilarating postures and sometimes the most demanding.  In this workshop we will open the entire front body, with emphasis on the heart center.  We will explore many different ways of working with and without props, along with physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of a backbend.  Your heart will dance with the fine art of balancing effort and surrender.

Friday April 16th  -Hips and Twists - To open the hips, we begin by cultivating awareness of the challenges we hold in our hips and pelvic region.  We can begin to relax and strengthen the quads, the inner and outer muscles of the thighs and stretch the hamstrings.  While unlocking this area of our bodies we will also free the spine with twists which can infuse the body with vitality and well being and release enormous amounts of tension.  Twists are associated with toning and rejuvenating the abdominal and pelvic regions.  When these regions are engaged, blood flow naturally increases and toxins are released - a natural internal massage.  Relaxing and strengthening these areas releases lower back tension and frees limitation in the neck and shoulders.

Saturday April 17th  - Arm Balancing - Arm Balances are some of yoga's most exhilarating and fun poses to practice.  Learn to safely defy gravity, starting with a single breath.  In this workshop you will strengthen your core to better support your arm balances.  Build upper body strength which will help support and build healthier wrists, elbows and shoulders.  Engage the legs, so they don't take refuge in Savasana.  Begin cultivating awareness of your body being upside down and moving through space, while surfing from one pose to another.  Yoga should be satisfying and fun, not a chore.  This workshop will launch you there.

Sunday April 18th  - Maha Sadhana - In an attempt to weave the yogic life into our modern culture, we sometimes take ourselves too seriously.  This heart opening, fun-filled workshop will create an abundance of Moksha, liberation for your hips.  It will cleanse the Nadis, rivers of energy, as we twist and release Samskaras, old habits.  We will embrace the playfulness of the dormant child whose balance on one foot is only truly appreciated while intending to let go of the need for balance and cultivating more awareness in the present moment.  By stoking the Agni, fire in the core, we will play with gravity and spend some time off of our feet and of course we will free the bird of Prana, life force in Bhakti backbends (devotional backbends).  A sweet long Sava pose awaits us all.

$50 per class or $200 for the whole week

All classes will run from 12pm - 3pm
